Hi Sierra,
I highly recommend the 1 Up USA racks
(www.1upusa.com/1upusarackhome.htm). It does not swing out, but it does
swing down and lock in place, allowing access to the back hatch. You
can get it to handle 2, 3, or 4 bikes. I've had an earlier version of
this rack for about 5 years now - and it's absolutely the bomber best
rack. It's insanely fast to load/unload bikes with. Only downside, it
won't work with road/commuter bikes with permanently attached fenders
that closely hug the wheel.
In my personal experience, the "swing out" type racks all tend to sag
over time, and have alignment issues. The amount of weight carried on
the swing arm simply is too great for the materials used in most of the
rack designs.
