John, I haven't answered your phone call yet... do you need me to

fill out something before Thursday?

If you need to get me in person, sometimes I can be reached at

Martha's, 503-699-0864.

I'm planning to be there on Thursday.

Heloo Oregon,

It is a beautiful day to change the face of American Cycling, and who better

to do it than the innovative, benevolent, broad minded members of the Oregon

Bicycle Racing Association.

We are going to help a bunch of kids get started in our beloved sport during

the month of July. We are going to help them meet people and learn more

about their community from the vantage point of a bicycle.

Has that got your name on it? Is that right up your alley? Does that float

your boat?!

Well we still have about ten rusty BMX bikes to fix so come on down today

and help us get ready for this extravaganza that has often been compared to

Mt. Rushmore, the Theory of Relativity, and the Tour de France.

YOU MUST MAKE THE MANDATORY VOLUNTEERS' MEETING!

What is Kids on Bikes?

Kids on Bikes is a circle in a field that kids race around. "You tell 'em go

and they make the show." After they get good, then we take them on the road

for a field trip; Dishman Community Center, OMSI, Concordia College, etc.

We need people to commit to one day per week (Mon.- Fri.) from 1PM-4:30PM

and ride along. The hours are Monday-Friday 1:30PM to 4:30PM. We will ride 2

days per week on the road.

Volunteer Roles:

    *    We need car drivers, ideally with cell phones

    *    Cyclists who can ride and don't mind staying outside the fun

spot to watch the bikes

    *    Helmet fitters

    *    Bike mechanics to come by in the evenings before the event

to repair bicycles.

    *    Site "clipboard" administrators

    *    Messengers to pick up lunch.

We will work with about 60 kids this year. Smaller groups will be traveling

on the road to cool places. It is going to be a lot of fun.

Best Regards,

And

Thank You.
