Mike Ripley
Hello,
Well its the 16th time out of 22 Mudslingers that I will put you through the
paces of big logging roads and slippery descents....some not that slippery
at all, some a little to slippery.
Anyway.....looks like good weather, but have a good front tire and a fender
is optional, or something on the downtube works quite well also.
The Weekend
Pre-reg at Peak Sports 3-5 pm Friday for the Super D.
Day of Race registration from 7am until 9am,
2 runs, Cog Wild will be shuttling, and lunch provided. This is a combined
time course and I did it in 26 minutes for 1 run.....of course maybe I could
go faster....if I pushed it.
365 ft of climbing in 6 miles with plenty of room to pass. 1 minute
intervals and yes Cat 3 friendly as its fast and you can get messed up, but
not as technical as some bigger SD courses in the state.
Eugene Mountain rescue on site
Everyone who races the Super d will receive 10.00 off the Mudslinger XC on
Sunday
Sunday Sunday
The 22nd annual Peak Sports Mudslinger Race #4 of the Rivercity Oregon XC

depending on how you go up. Stairstep climb (you know the drill) Cat 3's
will not do this part
Registration from 7am until 9am...race starts sharp at 10.......we have 12
registration people to bust you through as quick as possible....please
please write or fill out your waiver online so we can read it......
Custom race numbers, group staging to see who is in your field, Pro Men
first, then all Cat 1 men, Then Pro and Cat 1 women, Then SS, so on and so
on at 1 minute intervals.......takes a bit of time, but lets you set your
sights on your competition.

Awards at 2:00
This is also the first race of the Junior MTN Cup...its a new program inside
the series and will take a bit to get legs, but I am committed to get 10-18

where I like to be.

CONTACT ME......ITS A 3 YEAR PLAN AND I APPRECIATE ALL FO YOUR SUPPORT ON
THIS.
*Side note on safety and the rules*
You do not need a Starker Permit on race day
Wear your helmet at all times......especially in the porta potties,
seriously, when on your bike!
If someone crashes....make sure to note where......we will be asking the
next riders if he or she is up, then he or she is walking, and we always
hope to see he or she. we can't have people everywhere on the course so help
each other out
Don not drop your gel packet.......stuff it away....not with your good gels
No alcohol on school, or church grounds......have a drink at your car
please....auto DNF if you can;t do this...I love putting on the race and
this would really mess me up with being able to hold it again
Don't block driveways.....neighbors are cool......on occasion this has
happened, park on the side of the road off the white line.....its easy
After the race, the roads can be crowded, be aware that traffic is still
moving......be nice
The local fire department will be bringing a tanker to wash off your
bikes.....go easy on the water......
If you can make sure to change your shoes prior to entering the gym after
the race.....It helps me leave before midnight.....
Thats enough on the rules......get ready to race and have a good
time.....thanks for the support everyone....see you this weekend
