Wow! What a day for track racing at Alpenrose! A total of 103 riders came
out and competed under sunny skies and great racing conditions, making it
the best attended EK race yet! Thanks to all of you who raced today and
helped us to again raise money for the Eric Kautzky Memorial Scholarship
Fund at Tigard High School. Once we complete our financial statement for
this year's event, I'm confident that we will have surpassed the $10,000
mark in total donations over the past 5 years. Lorna Kautzky was at the race
today with her daughter-in-law and grandson, who never got to meet his
grandfather. She thoroughly enjoyed watching the races, and loves to hand
out the omnium jerseys to the winners. She truly admires all of you and
appreciates your love for a sport that Eric also greatly enjoyed.

Results should be posted soon. Thanks again to all of you for enjoying the
day with us. See you again next year!
