2010 Oregon Bike Summit ˆ June 4, Portland
Join us in June for a one-day event that will cover a lot of ground on the
topic of cycling! It's your chance to stay up to date and fully involved in
Oregon's cycling world ˆ and registration
for the fifth annual Oregon Bike
Summit is only $50 per person.

The agenda is jam-packed with informative general sessions and a choice of
breakout topics. Speakers for the general sessions include Tim Blumenthal,
president of the national advocacy group Bikes Belong; Gail Achterman, chair
of the Oregon Transportation Commission; and Rob Sadowsky, the new executive
director of the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

The breakout sessions offer topic experts such as Roger Geller, bicycle
coordinator for City of Portland; Alison Hill Graves of the Community
Cycling Center; Jonathan Maus of Bikeportland.org; Jill Van Winkle of IMBA;
and Austin Ramsland of Sweet Pea Bikes. You'll also hear from members of the
newly formed Bike Business League, in addition to the Northwest Bicycle
Safety Council and the Central Oregon Trails Alliance (COTA).

And Evan Ross of Portland Bicycle Tours will lead a Saturday-morning bike
ride, a nice and leisurely jaunt that offers another opportunity to network.
It will leave at 9 a.m. from the Salmon Street Fountain, located at SW
Salmon and Naito Parkway. He will offer a short ride returning to the
fountain, and then continue on for a longer ride for those who wish to get
in more miles.

Your registration includes breakfast, lunch and an evening reception, plus
the chance to connect with some of the most involved bicycling advocates
around. Get an updated agenda and all the event details at the Oregon Bike
Summit Web site
