A reminder that the velodrome will not be available for riding this weekend.
We are going to caulk the joint between the track surface and the apron in
addition to repair the loose pieces on the riding surface. If you are
interested in helping us do this we plan to start at 8:00AM. Bring gloves,
a utility knife and something that you can use to pry loose concrete.
The caulk will need 72 hours to cure so the velodrome will be closed for
riding. We will put fencing across the track. DO NOT TAKE THE FENCING DOWN
OR ATTEMPT TO RIDE. Please spread the word to other people that may not
read this e-mail. We will remove the fencing when the caulk is cured. The
caulking material is expensive and it will be a lot of work to put it down.
If it is not allowed to cure adequately then it will not work. It is our
hope that this will make the problem of loose and broken pavement at the
bottom of the track much better. If you have any questions feel free to
message me.
