You know those handy half and half pedals that are SPD on one side and flat
on the other? Anyone got a spare set to sell me? Thanks. P

I've been thinking about buying the Wandertech cargo trailer for a while and
it was just reviewed in Bicycle Times this month with positive accolades.

Anyone have any experience with it? I have a Bob but looking for something
a little larger to haul a large tote about 12 miles for a several times a
week commute.

Want to trade?

Suggestions?

I've got a 56cm Co-Motion Espresso, 96 vintage (I think? Maybe 95?), 853
steel. . . just the frame, nothing more, just sitting around in the garage.
Great green color. No headset or fork (1" head tube).

It's been ridden a lot, crashed a couple times (but never that badly),
dented a little, scratched and touched up badly, loved and abused. But it's
still a really great steel frame that could build up a wonderful rain
bike/trainer, or, if someone was willing to put the time into it, even a
nice classic steel racing bike. . .

Anyone want it? Make me an offer. . . I'd really like to see it ridden
rather then sit in the garage. . .

Sam

PS- if the offer is good enough I'll throw in a set of fenders that I got to
work with this frame with a few zip-ties.

Anyone have anything sitting around? Internal geared would actually work

Hey folks

I am looking for suggestions on secure outdoor bike storage. Our housemates
have decided that three bikes in the garage is unacceptable, and I have to
find some way of locking them up in the backyard without them getting stolen
or overly soaked with rain (I'll save that for when I'm riding).

I thought about telling them that I had *only* three bikes, but the point
would have been lost...

Hello All,

Thank you for everybody who have pre-registered for the first annual Sisters
Stampede!!

We have 120+ on the pre-registration list, and Saturday registration begins
at 2:00pm at Eurosports in Sisters, ending at 5:00pm. Please make it for
Saturday registration if you can (it would make our timing people happy).

The course is marked, and any Saturday pre-riding can be done from Three
Creeks Brewing. Look for the huge tent, and follow the path near the potties
to the starting area.

Sunday registration is open from 7:45am to 10:30am

The Stampede will be led out by a Cowboy on horseback for the Pro, Cat 1
Men. A wild ride it will be!

Safe Travels,

Joel Palanuk

Agreed.
Do they have pets?? Or musical instruments?
?
I don't know what your garage situation is, but maybe you could meet halfway
by hanging a couple from the rafters?
?
Hell, I have been known to run a hook into the ceiling in my bedroom to keep
the best of my bikes indoors.
?
You could have some fun with them too, and start parking them in the house
in totally random places, like laying under the dining table, in the shower,
behind the TV, etc.
?
At last count, between mine, my wife's, the kids bikes, and my various
projects I had 20 frames around.? A few have found new homes in the mean
time, and all but a couple each (an 'exciting' bike and a commuter)?will
have to be gone by the end of summer when we move from Bend to P-town.
?
Anyone in the market for a '97 Ibis Alibi 17 inch with most of the original
parts?? An '05 Intense 5.5 size medium with high end parts, or a large '09
Specialized Stumpjumper Pro with a mix of decent parts?

I second the new housemates suggestion! Life is short.

Hmmmmmmm....... secure outdoor storage?
......... new housemates.

.......new housemates.

I suspect new housemates might be easier to find than secure
outdoor storage.

Hello- I am in the market for a BMX bike for my snowboard queen daughter- A
newer model would be great- don't know much about them, apparently one size
fits all?
Thanks, Ruth Kostur

Unfortunately moving out isn't an option right now...the housemates
are letting us live here without paying rent for a few months - I got
laid off last year and my wife and I moved from the Midwest to
Portland, and they welcomed us with open arms and said we could stay
as long as we needed until we find jobs.

So the ideal solution is to find a place of our own of course, but
until at least I find work (anyone looking for an engineer with
mechanical and electrical degrees with motorsports experience?), it's
not feasible. I really do not want to put the bikes outside, but I
have been trying to get creative and find a secure and sheltered way
to make it work.

The first of our team's frames have started coming in.? Our
cyclocross-focused team, Buttercup, was given a little sponsorship by
Cernitz, a local frame builder near Wilsonville.? My frame--a singlespeed
cross frame--is about ready to go to paint, and the first one is for another
rider, is finished.? You can see a few pictures of the finished one on my
blog--the frame is beautiful!--and see more info on the Cernitz blog,
www.cernitzbike.blogspot.com
?
my blog: www.rcmt.blogspot.com

I really recommend Neil and his work.? He builds mainly lugged frames, but
will braze steel as well if you talk to him politely.? He has been terrific
to work with, he really listens and cares about what you want to do and does
an amazing job of turning that into reality.
?
I believe frame prices start around $1000 for a basic lugged frame with
custom geometry.? Ours were a little more complicated...
?
Anyway....I believe he could still finish a frame or two in time for cross
season if anyone is interested.
