The tougher issue might be getting someone to do the officiating. It takes
a lot of resources to count and time every rider every lap like we do in
cross. There is also the issue of competing against other types of bike
races which does not happen during cross season.

Technically yes. Venues might be tougher to obtain (many are used for other

events during "summer"). Schools usually have legion baseball games, soccer

and football camps as an example. Would it burn out cross racers?
Something I think would be great is a dedicated cross course on public
property that people could use year-round to train on. I wonder if Gateway
Green could accommodate that as it is developed. It would be most wonderful

if it could be re-formatted now and then to change it up. Commish Fish.
Can you make that happen in the Portland Parks?

Technically yes. Venues might be tougher to obtain (many are used for other
events during "summer"). Schools usually have legion baseball games, soccer
and football camps as an example. Would it burn out cross racers?
Something I think would be great is a dedicated cross course on public
property that people could use year-round to train on. I wonder if Gateway
Green could accommodate that as it is developed. It would be most wonderful
if it could be re-formatted now and then to change it up. Commish Fish.
Can you make that happen in the Portland Parks?

Technically speaking, couldn't we have them year round? The weather in this town supports that alone.

If we can have road races in February why not Cross in June?

One, it's completely impossible.
Two, it's possible, but it's not worth doing.
Three, I said it was a good idea all along.
