Jeremy is an Observed Trials rider from southern Oregon. He got his start in OBRA racing at the age of 12. He started in road racing and mountain bike racing. He then added observed trials and cyclo-cross. At the age of 19, his main focus is now on observed trials.

This year has been one of his most exciting years ever. He has done demos at a number of high profile events and had the extreme pleasure in being a part of the Nike Cycling camp. So far this year he has seen the most improvement in his riding ever!!!

His results this year include: 1st place, California State Championship Series, 2nd place, NORBA National Championship Series at Big Bear, UCI Polish Cup a 4th place in Mod bikes, a tie for 3rd place in Stock, and a 1st place at the Canadian stop on the North American Trials Series. He is currently in a tie for 1st place in that series. It is the biggest and most important series in North America and is the North American Championship Series.

He is currently in West Virgina at the next North American Trials Series. He will be home next week and then have a week-end off. Then he does two demos the following week-end, one in Seattle and another in Portland. The following week he is in Portland, for the Alpenrose Challenge, one of his favorite events of the year!!! Then if all goes well he wil be off for 3 week-ends in Spain, France and one other country, I don't remember right now. Then back the US for the NORBA National Championship Finals and then back to Europe for the World Championships. Then home for some more demos and a few more comps and then cyclo-cross!!!

Jeremy's trip to Poland this year was a real turning point for him as a rider. He stayed and trained with the number two team in the World and trained with the World Champion. He was able to beat the number 4 rider in the World at the Polish Cup as well as another rider in the top 8. The USA Cycling's Team Manager went with Jeremy and was very impressed with his riding. Jeremy needed to place in the top 10 to make the US World Team, which he did. A good thing, since they changed to other qualifier to the same day as the Alpenrose Challenge, so Jeremy was not going to be able to go to it.

Many riders on the Polish Team told Jeremy he is the best US rider ever. Of course we are hoping they are right. No US rider has ever made the top 10 at the World Championships. The US Team Manager thinks Jeremy can do that this year. Again we sure hope he is right.

Most important, Jeremy is having the time of his life. Meeting great people all over the world and learning about different countries and people.

He is currently riding for adidas, but still does not have a signed contract. They have been good to him, but things are stiil being looked into. Jeremy has an agent that is in contact with other companies and is working very hard to find just the right deal that will set Jeremy up so he can ride and make a living doing what he loves to do.

The only down side to all that he is getting to do is the lack of contact with the many OBRA members that mean so much to Jeremy. He does miss you guys and hopes to at least see a bunch of you at the Challenge!!!

He thinks of you often, and knows that it was your help that allowed him to get where he is today.

He is so very proud to be from Oregon the land of OBRA!!!

Thanks to everyone for all your support!!!
