Miles

Hi,
I'm looking for a bike to go touring long distance on. It should be able to handle medium-large sized loads, and be versatile enough to handle paved roads or mild off-road tracks. I've heard cyclocross bikes are good in this capacity, but anything else that you think would work would be great! Preferably something light and speedy, though.

My budget is about 400 dollars, but I could probably be tempted by the right offer!
