Wow, using wood in a low tech transportation device. What a concept!
Maybe it will catch on and someday we'll use wood in cars, boats and
aircraft too.

Oh wait, we already have...

I have a brand new Sram 9.0 SL Rear Derailleur I received as an IMBA member
back in the day that is partially machined out of wood. Yes wood. I can
send pics if anyone is interested in it. I will probably sell it. I
haven't used it and probably never will.
