Hey all,

A good friend of mine is hoping to attend grad school in the fall, but
currently it is somewhat out of her financial means. She is an AMAZING
artist and is auctioning off her art, one piece at a time, for the next
month. If you're looking to freshen up your walls, you can grab some great
art for a low price, and help send someone to school! Information is
below...

Hello everyone!
Happy Summer! I hope this email finds you all well and enjoying the
summer sun! I just wanted to pass along some art events that I would love
for you to know about and take part in.

The first of these announcements is that I GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL at
SFAI (San Francisco Art Institute) for my MFA in
Painting!!! Hooray! August 26 is my first day back to school,
after 5 incredible
years of living and working as an artist here in Portland. I am
extremely excited and honored to have been chosen to be a part of such
a prestigious and amazing program. With this
being said, moving to SF for grad school is going to be no cheap
venture... so I have devised a plan!

Beginning Thursday June 24 (the first auction piece will be up by this
evening), I will be auctioning off ONE piece of art each day for ONE month
thru my new wordpress site (
http://michelleramin.wordpress.com). Each day, from June 24 to July 24, I
will be posting a piece of art (some old works, some brand new!) up on this
site and the pieces will be priced EXTREMELY cheap! so check the site often
and bid as often as you can afford to!

At the end of the month-long online auction, I will be hosting an in-person
art show and auction titled "Don't Forget to Write" at
FalseFront (4518 NE 32nd Ave.
Portland, Oregon).
The show will be up for a very limited time and the pieces will be auctioned
off on Saturday July 24 (you must be present to bid!). Food and prizes to be
given away at the show as well (maybe even homemade ice cream!). I will be
sending out a reminder of this show closer to the date but keep in mind that
more pieces will be available at
FalseFront after
the online auction is finished.

Remember that this is a fundraiser! Any contribution will help and will be
greatly appreciated. Please tell as many people as possible so that I can
get myself to grad school this fall!

Thank you all so very very much ahead of time and if you have any questions,
please feel free to email me.

Many Loves,
Michelle Ramin
