This is a great Americorps part time volunteer opportunity in Bend at the new Bend's Community BikeShed, a project of Bend's Community Center.

This is a national service position—not a job! Our BikeShed is a fully stocked 'shop.' If you love working on bikes, and want to learn bike repair in a co-op environment, we would love to have you in our Shed.  See:  http://www.bendscommunitybikeshed.org/

You must dedicate an entire year to part-time service (20 hrs/wk),
September 1st, 2010 to July 31st, 2011. Benefits for part time OSSC
AmeriCorps members are: $2,675 education award, a living allowance of
$5,900 (before taxes) and loan forbearance on qualified federal student
loans (no healthcare or childcare benefits).
