Heather Clark
Hi Friends:
Looking forward to seeing you all at the 2010 High Desert Omnium presented
by BendBroadband.
We are bigger and better this year thanks to some generous local sponsors --
BendBroadband, Hutch's Bicycles, Bryant, Lovlien & Jarvis and Gecko
Solutions. Please patronize them if you can. Their support means bigger cash
and prize payouts for you. To top it off, the High Desert Omnium road race
is the Oregon Cup finale, which means Hot, Hot, Hot competition. The weather
is supposed to be toasty warm to boot so come get your tan on and enjoy some
dry air, great racing and good beer (Check out our new Bend Ale
Trail).
Cat. 4 women: You rocked the HDO last year, besting the Cat. 3 men's in
terms of field size. Once again, the High Desert Omnium is stop on OBRA's
Cat 4 Women's Series. We are proud that you have chosen, and continue to
choose, our race. Thank you!
Here are a few key registration details:

Last note: The annual Sisters Quilt Show is happening on Saturday, which can
make driving through Sisters slow. There are detours but plan on giving
yourself extra time if you're driving to Bend Saturday morning on Hwy 22/Hwy
126/Hwy 20. Better yet, choose Highway 58 or Highway 26 to avoid the chaos.
Really, the last note:
We are still in need of three volunteers this weekend
1, Bike holder for the TT on Sat (4:30 to 7)
2, Women's Cat. 4 lead car driver on Sunday, noon start
3, Course marshall Sunday (11-1)
Contact Melanie at mgrandjacques@bendbroadband.net to lend a hand.
Volunteers at the HDO are da bomb, and get treated really well!
