Subject: [OBRA Chat] 31st Annual Cascade Cycling Classic Important
Updates!!!
Dear NW Racers,
The time has come to register for the 2010 Cascade Cycling Classic.
Here is some important information for you to know.
Registration
In order for you to avoid a late charge of $20 you must register this
week. Also fields are beginning to fill. If you had planned to race
the Pro-1 Men's race and have not already registered I am afraid it has
filled. The best we can do for you Mr. Procrastinator is have you get
put on a waiting list. Every year we lose around 10-20 riders due to
cancelations prior to the event. We can slot you in a position when one
comes available. To be put on the waiting list please contact Chuck
Kenlan at ckenlan@mbsef.org Women's race is
looking like it will see 100 riders this year!!!
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup for the NRC men's and women's races will be Tuesday July
20th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A mandatory team managers meeting is
scheduled for 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. If your team plans to have a car in
the caravan you must have a team director or representative at that
meeting. Both packet pickup and the meeting will be located at the
Phoenix Inn in Bend, Oregon. Address and information is on the website.
Racing starts with the new Old Mill District Prologue at 6:00 PM.
For the Amateur categories you will have packet pickup on Thursday night
July 22nd at Hutch's Bicycles Westside location from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
You may also pick up your packet from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Friday July
23rd at the start of stage 1 at Wanoga Snow Park.
Stage Info
Stage info is up on the websites. Tech guides coming at the end of the
week. We have some great courses lined out this year including the
return of McKenzie Pass for the NRC fields! For more information go to
the websites. For the NRC events it is www.cascade-classic.org for the
amateurs it is www.cascadestagerace.com
Lodging
Phoenix Inn is our official lodging partner. They have a huge parking
lot and great accommodations right in downtown Bend. Centrally located
for convenient access to all the courses including one block away from
the Saturday night criterium course. Call today at (541) 317-9292 if
you want to get reservations as space is limited.
Sincerely,
Chad Sperry
