Personal Best Products makes 2 must have items - both uses natural
ingredients.
http://www.whereitcounts.com/
Betwixt Chamois Cream: The best chamois cream I've ever used. Lasts a long
time and goes a long way. Available online through their website or at
BikeNHike in Portland or biketiresdirect.com (housed in portland).
Zelios Sunscreen 50spf: This stuff is amazing. Nongreasy, applies easily,
goes a long way, lasts a long time. I wear it for races/riding all the
time. It is currently only available online and only in the sample packets,
but I get about 2-3 uses out of 1 sample pack (that's including legs, neck,
face, and arms).
Personal Best Products is a new company that just started last year and are
based out of Berkely, CA. The TAI team is sponsored by these guys and we
LOVE their products. I would highly suggest getting a hold of both!

My wife is a runner and road cyclist. I would like to introduce her to the
joys of mt. biking. Unfortunately, there aren't great introductory trails
here in Hood River. I am contemplating a couple day trip to Bend to check
out the trails there. I have heard rumors of some great novice dirt in the
area. Please feel free to offer inside knowledge of the Bend area mt bike
possibilities. Is there somewhere special I should head? A particular shop
to check in with? A map or book the outlines good beginner single track?
Camping spots?
Thanx... eric

What is the best sunscreen to use? I always liked Coppertone Sport because
it dries fast and isn't greasy. Recently I read that it has some bad
chemical that gets absorbed and is bad if you use it frequently.

It looks like Grant swept all events at the Junior Nationals this weekend
securing the National Omnium Junior Track Championship.
He placed won both scratch races and Gold in the time trial.
He going to have a lot to say when he goes back to school and people ask
him: ?What did you do this Summer? However, he will probably answer that he
went out for a few bike rides.

According to this:
http://www.ewg.org/2010sunscreen/
Sunscreens with Zinc or Titanium Oxide are best.
(Personally, I am skeptical of the claims).

It's a basic San Jose no real "extras" but it's in good shape. I just need
to get rid of it at this point any reasonable offer and it's yours.
There's a picture in my CL ad.

I realize there was a NWTA work party on Buck Creek several weeks ago, but
does anyone know if Penny Ridge to the north is rideable? Or any other
sections around Monte Christo Peak?
