OMG, I'll bet I've got > 30,000 miles on my full carbon fork on my
Douglas.

If I replaced a fork every 4000 to 5000 miles, I'd be replacing forks
every six months or less.

article may have some merit but it also alleges some claims regarding

A similar 'fear' site was in place for Spinergy Rev-X wheels a few years back. Carbon is like any material (steel, aluminum, Ti), if you have a crash and you go down hard, one should IMMEDIATELY take their frame/wheels/bars/forks in to be inspected.
