The Thursday before the Alpenrose Challenge we will not have the regular

Thursday track races. Instead there will be a chance to get learn from

Marty Nothstein and his personal coach. A flyer about this is below. Space

is limited so if you are interested please get in touch with me beforehand.

Marty Nothstein Track Clinics



Date: Thursday July 18th



Times: 4:00pm & 6:30pm



Location: The Alpenrose Velodrome: 6149 SW Shattuck Rd, Portland OR.

Description: Clinic will cover track racing skills and strategy and

training, not to mention the chance to rub shoulders (and maybe bump

elbows) with Marty Nothstein. Everyone is welcome!



Instructors: Olympic Gold Medallist Marty Nothstein and his personal

coach Gil Hatton



Cost: $25 ($10 for children under 18) All riders get a picture with

Marty.



RENTAL GEAR IS AVAILABLE: All equipment (except shoes & clothing)

can be rented at the velodrome before the clinic for only $5.



(Check in 30 minutes prior to clinic start time if you need to rent

equipment.)



OR BRING YOUR OWN GEAR: Everything you usually use to ride or race.

(helmet, bike shoes, clipless pedals, cycling jersey, shorts, gloves

& a track bike.)



IMPORTANT NOTES:



1) If you don't have cycling shoes, bring athletic shoes. If you

bring cycling shoes with cleats be sure to bring the pedals that

match them!



2) Please check in 30 minutes prior to clinic start time if you

need to rent equipment.
