Bike racing without Officials

Melanie... and all officials. You do an amazing job considering the craziness around you. When I see a field of 80 riders placed all the way from 1 to the last... I know it was a great deal of work.

Just realized my post from last night sounded a little snarky. My apologies.

Half way into the year...
Half way into race season...
One would assume that cyclists know how to place their race number on their jersey.
One would assume that if an official asks you not to stand in front of the camera you would listen.
One would assume that racers know not to cross the finish line more than once, even if going backwards.
One would assume that racers appreciate that every race has a crew to help make their race experience safe.
One would assume that racers appreciate accurate results.
Maybe not.

Please, show respect when an official asks something of you to make all these things possible. Please don't get defensive and make excuses. We are all out there to make your experience the best possible. OBRA racing is the best in the country and it is not by accident.

Just not feeling the love.
PS. Please don't take offense if you don't fit into any of these categories, and thank you. If you do, please reconsider. ;o)
