We put new caulk on the track. This caulk will take a minimum of 72 hours
to dry. When I left I strung snow fencing across the track, across the gate
and along the rail, put caution tape on all the stairway entrances and
posted several signs that said "Danger! New Caulking. Track closed." One
would think that this would be enough.
It wasn't however and some bone head took the fencing down so that they
could ride the track. Obviously this is not a good thing on many levels.
The individuals involved are lucky that I did not find them doing this. At
a very minimum they could have counted on finding a new sport to participate
in.
Just to be clear; if you go to the track and there is fencing installed
across the track DO NOT RIDE THE TRACK. Do not take the fencing down. Have
a bit of consideration for the work that others put in.
I would like to thank the people that showed up to help with the caulking
project on Saturday. Everyone should plan on being there for the painting
day, July 1.
