The American Cancer Society needs volunteers to help at the Eugene Women's Half Marathon
The first inaugural Eugene Women's Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. The American Cancer Society, the honorary charity of the marathon, needs volunteers to work two water stations, located at the mile 2 and mile 9 markers.
If you can hand cups of water to thirsty runners, your help is needed! The water stations are located at Maurie Jacobs Park (near the Valley River Center), and parking is available for all volunteers at the VRC.
There are two shifts that need to be covered: 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. (for the mile 2 station) or 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (for the mile 9 station).
Help make the first Eugene Women's Half Marathon a success.
