Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

We are working with the County to sweep this section of the road again and make sure it is clean and clear. Worst case scenario we will run the course in reverse if we feel it is still a safety issue and put that stretch of road going up hill. It is going to be a magnificent course that all should come and enjoy.

All:
If anyone is interested, the "fast, twisting descent into Trout Lake Valley" - as referred to on the State Championship's web site - appears to have been chip sealed within the past 30 days. As of Friday (7/30), there were still numerous patches of loose, fine gravel located in some of the tighter corners. Grade on this descent is easily 6-8 percent, so building speed rapidly is no problem. Be aware, it would be easy to have a front tire wash out in one of the corners. Good luck to all.
