Thanks for a great race Pam! And I’m stoked to win the Chris King Headset!
Both the Vernonia and Westview Short Track races have been so much fun. You
deserve our thanks for stepping out there to put them on for all of us to
enjoy. I love the big Crusade and PIR Short track races with all the people
and the big production as much as the next guy. But these smaller venue
races remind me how much pure fun grass roots racing can be. I encourage
anyone who only does the big events to strongly consider mixing in other
smaller events like the Jeff’s Hood River Crit series, David’s Camas crit,
Bike Attorney’s Willamette Valley Cross Series, Sal’s Pyschocross Pseries,
and the Thrilla in the Milla in Bend too. And many others like them. If you
haven’t made it to one of these you are really missing out.
Oh yeah…and you can line up just a couple minutes before your start before
your start in be in the front line or two! But you should plan for 90
seconds to stand in line to sign up as well. J
