Hey OBRAland! The other year someone gave me a pair of nice SIDI mtb shoes but noted that they needed a little TLC when it came to the base plates and the bottoms.Basically, the leather uppers are swell... but the screw-in plates are shoddy, stripped and places need some shoe glue or something. So, does anyone know where would be a good place to get these fixed or is anyone out there a skilled cobbler/bike junkie with these parts on hand? Or.. if all that fails, perhaps you know of a place where I could leave them so elves could work on them as I sleep? I hate to see nice shoes go to waste in lieu of just buying new ones.
