2010 OBRA Championships Important Course Information

Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

2010-08-05

Good Afternoon OBRA Racers!

I wanted let all of you Oregon AND Southwest Washington OBRA Members know we are looking forward to hosting the 2010 OBRA Championships in Trout Lake Washington (located just 20 miles north of Hood River). Due to some recent chip seal that is taking a long time to pack and settle (little to no traffic on the road does not help speed the process along) we have decided to reverse the order of the course. The race will now run in a clockwise rotation with a long slight grade for the last 10 miles to the finish at Trout Lake School.

We are working to finalize the feed zone but it will be close the current location and will have that info at registration. Feeding will not be neutral and your responsibility to setup. We are wheels in and wheels out so it is up to everyone to pool their resources for each group.

Weather is looking amazing with highs of 78 degrees and a slight chance of showers. Perfect racing weather for August. Come out and enjoy the Trout Lake Fair and Festival happening this weekend as well. There is a pancake breakfast at the school prior to the race and be sure and stop in at KJ's for the ultimate huckleberry shake!

Sincerely,
Chad
