What
The Franz Bakery Criterium is an 8-corner criterium near the Franz's Bakery in Portland's Central Eastside. The course features wide streets with good road surface.
Why
Well, why not? This event will be great preparation for the OBRA State Crit Championships. The course isn't overly technical despite there being eight turns. The 20 feet of climbing will sting the legs, but that also means there will be 20 feet of descending each lap to recover. Be part of the first ever race on this course.
Race Format
The criterium will be a points race. Every lap counts at this race. The winner of every lap earns 2 points. In the final lap, points will be awarded 15 deep and the rider with the most points wins the race. Also, the first person across the line on each lap will receive $1 cash in addition to their 2 points. It pays to be aggressive.
