Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

Wow what a day at the Tour of Utah today. Crazy weather cool temps and one massive mountain climb. We finished our 80 mile race today at the top of Mt. Nebo climb which covers 4000 feet in the last 11 miles and tops out at 9300 feet elevation. Oxygen is not flowing as freely up there. Team Breakaway did a great job running a smooth race. The highlight of the day was for me standing near the finish working caravan deviation only to see Levi Lephimer come screaming by for the stage win then shortly after that Francisco Mancebo with some kid from Oregon glued to his wheel. It was Bend's own Ian Boswell. That kid can climb. Ian finished 3rd on the day and was able to share the podium with Levi and Mancebo. He stomped an amazing field of riders today and now sits 4th on GC. This kid is amazing!

More updates later from your neighborhood crew down in Utah.
