Inaugural Franz Bakery Criterium p/b Veloce Bicycles
What
The Franz Bakery Criterium is an 8-corner criterium near the Franz's Bakery in Portland's Central Eastside. The course features wide streets with good road surface.
Race Format
The criterium will be a points race. Every lap counts at this race. The winner of every lap earns 2 points. In the final lap, points will be awarded 15 deep and the rider with the most points wins the race. Also, the first person across the line on each lap will receive $1 cash in addition to their 2 points. It pays to be aggressive.
Every lap the first rider will get 2 points. The final lap the top 15
riders will get points. The winner will be the rider with the most points. Ties will be broken by the placing on the last lap. The last lap points will be

Course
A wide open 8 corner course over 1.13km. Two shallow inclines will bring out the burn. The course is located in NE Portland near Franz Bakery. The start/finish line and registration will be located at NE 10th and NE Flanders. Wheel pit is wheels in/wheels out (no neutral wheels will be provided).
Registration
Pre-registration: $25 per rider (Online Pre-registration closes August 20 at 11:59 p.m.)
Day of Race: $30/rider (registration opens at 2:30pm)
Additional Races: $10 per race

Over $2000 in cash/merchandise, three deep in each category. Cat 1-3 prizes will be 5 deep.
Membership & Licenses
OBRA membership required for all riders. Single race memberships are available for $5.00. Season OBRA memberships are available for $20.00.
Helmets are required.

Take I-5 South to exit 300B toward US-26 E/OR-99E/OMSI/Oregon City
Keep left at fork following signs for Oregon City and merge onto SE Morrison Bridge
Take first left onto SE Grand Ave
Turn right onto Couch Ave.
>From the South (Salem, OR)
Travel north on I-5
Take exit 300 for I-84 E/US-30 E toward Portland Airport/The Dalles
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Omsi/Central Eastside Industrial District and merge onto SE Yamhill St
Turn right at SE 3rd Ave
Take the 1st left onto SE Taylor St
Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto SE Grand Ave
Turn right at E Burnside St
Turn left at NE 11th Ave
OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participant. Helmets must be worn at all times while on a bike. Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.
