SEPTEMBER PIR HANDICAP SERIES

CORRECTION....Everyone sorry for any confusion I caused with the explanation
of how the categories would be sent off for the Handicap Series.

My understanding of the relationship of higher/lower categories to Cat 1-5
was the inverse.

To be clear the category 5 riders will be sent off first with the subsequent
categories sent to follow. Categories will possibly be combined depending on
field sizes.

Thanks,

After a 1 year hiatus the return of the ever popular Cat and Mouse Style
racing will kick off next Tuesday, September 7th!

This is a great transition to the cross season with a 3 week series to tune
up those legs with high end racing!

The handicap format is a Cat and Mouse style racing format where the higher
category riders are sent out with a 1-2 minute head start, depending one
field size, with the lower category riders sent out in pursuit.

This style of Cat and Mouse racing forces the larger groups to work well
together to stay away and forces the smaller groups of the stronger lower
category riders to work hard in paceline form to bridge the 1-2 minute gap
that has been given to the group ahead.

If the chase group catches the groups ahead then everyone finished together
in a bunch sprint.
