a while back I purchased 2x 19mm wide, 50mm deep carbon rims , 32 hole ,
external nipples, offset spoke holes (396grams) to build up as cross
tubulars.
but being the lazy bugger I am I have not done so, thus this maybe your
gain.
these rims have a 12k cosmetic top weave, glossy black with a matt braking
surface ...quite attractive not that your gonna see em covered in mud
though.
I believe (through speaking to experts) tooled in one piece and look to be
of a high quality with little signs of voids or other visual triggers that
indicate quality.
the rims are solid, very stiff without any flex in the layup mid rim, ie at
25mm on the side wall, they would make good cx wheels or even maybe a
good road set for a heavier rider or someone who wants to run a higher spoke
count.
Buy some Kings and make a top notch wheelset.
These are brand new and I'm thinking $170 a piece for the rims.
