Mr Schram.
As a year around bicycle commuter, I enjoyed your perspective on us.
I have to admit that there are a lot of riders that fit the description you
give. I even got a 175 dollar ticket last year for red light violation. I
explained to the judge that after being hit 3 time by cars turning right
without signaling that had actually accelerated to get in front of me, I
enter intersections concentrating more on the cars around me than the light.
If at all possible, I'm careful not to run yellow or red lights as I'm sure
you are. I haven't survived decades of riding by ignoring traffic laws.
I could easily write a book of my experiences with irresponsible drivers so
I guess this only proves that all commuters are really the same. The
difference is, If I screw around, you get pissed. If you in your car screw
around, I get killed.
Have a great drive into work tomorrow.
