This frame and fork was the best that Specialized made in 2006 and I know
that carbon technology has changed a bit since then but the fact of the
matter is that the philosophy of the ride and handling has not and you would
be stepping up to $2500 plus. So if you are looking for a new race frame
this would be a great place to start.
Or maybe this could be another alternative
It is getting close to that winter training period and wouldn't it be nice
to train on a bike with the same race geometry as your race bike that is set
up with fenders for riding in the rain. Put a lesser grade groupo on this
frame and this would save the wear and tear on your race bike and its
components. Now I am not going to tell you that the SWorks has clearance for
fenders but with a little bit of work and the reach around pieces you could
have it set up. The other thing that I have found with having a dedicated
winter bike is that during the questionable time in the fall and spring if
it is raining I take my rain bike, if it is dry or sunny I take my good bike
both are always ready to go at a moment's notice.
So after all of that I am looking for $625 OBO for the frame and fork
