While I am not a cross racer, I will say the same things about road racing for us Grand Masters.. It was really fun to have our own start at the State RR Championships this year. We had more guys than some of the younger categories and I imagine it was fun racing (I got dropped at the hill).

If we get that kind of entries more often maybe we could get our own starts at more events, and that would be just great. It is not quite the same, starting many races with younger faster guys and never actually racing wheel to wheel, but more just seeing who can get the longest tow from the younger guys or perhaps stick on the whole race. I never know who I am actually racing in a big pack of mixed ages...

Lets see if we can get some 60+ category starts of our own next season..
