Speaking of the dearth of numbers in a particular field of riders (this

IS a "pack sport"), how about Sunday's Silverton Criterium for the

1/2's? Letz see, 16 riders going 60 laps on a 6-corner circuit, for a

total of only 5,760 corners taken - clearly not enough! There should

have been at least 14,400 corners taken...



At least for the 1/2's, hopefully we've got 3's thinking of upgrading?

Candi, maybe some info here on the upgrading system OBRA uses?





On the race itself, the Silverton Festival, promoted by Steve Yenne and

Salem's Capitol Velo, is one of Oregon's best racing weekends of the

year, with two excellent courses offering great variety at a location

very Willamette Valley accessable. Next year...let's all make it a

"2001, a Silverton Racing Odyssey?"
