OBRA trail riders.
Well. Life is full of surprises. I guess the Oregonian (I have not seen the article, but would be interested) published an article on NIGHT RIDING on trails and it mentioned that the Scappoose trails were a good place to ride. Longview Timber, the owner of this property where the trails are located has posted rules regarding public use of their land. One of the rules is no entry to property at night. I have no idea what the charge might be if one is actually arrested or ticketed for entering their property at night ( I do not intend to find out), but one could spend the money and or other time involved with said charge doing other things and at the same time show respect for the rules of the landowner. They allow riders to use the area during daylight hours. Thanks for not riding out there during darkness. Let anyone you know who has ridden out there at night or might want to do so... to please not ride Scappoose at night. It is better to have a place to ride during daylight than have them close the area to public and have nothing. I am attaching a note from NWTA. They have been trying to work with Longview to keep area open for riders. Please do your part to keep our relations with the company in a positive light. http://nw-trail.org/forum/trail-info-resources/trail-conditions/2359 If link does not work, just type it in or go to NWTA site. Thanks for reading.
