Yes, indeed! You can earn call-up points for the first Crusade at both
days of the Double Cross and at Barlow. Three races, three chances to get
those points.

Points will be assigned to the top ten riders in each category (except
Beginner) each day. Points schedule will be 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3,
2. The five riders in each category with the greatest number of points
will receive a call-up at Alpenrose.

There are a lot of great 'cross races (and series) to enjoy throughout
Oregon, but for you Crusaders, there's a little extra incentive to go to
the Double Cross and Battle at Barlow.

The season starts in 17 days!

I think the Saturday race at Hood River, Barlow and maybe one other are to
be used as Crusade call ups. This is not official, but when in doubt, race
so hard you puke if a call up is that important. I think if you puke you
might get called up anyway....or placed at the very back for sanitary
considerations.

And don't let Jon Myers act like he does not put the Crusade
on....................Those in the know are well aware of how important he
is to that organization. He has also been involved over the years putting
other races on. He speaks from experience.......not some self-serving need
to be all knowing. I am sure Mr. Ross would agree.
