Long, Steve
Just a reminder for this ride Saturday morning.
If there's enough demand, I could be talked into more rides per month of
this sort. There are lots of riding skills that could be a focus.
Cheers,
Steve

Subject: [OBRA Chat] New beginner's endurance building ride
(pacelinepractice)
New beginner's endurance building ride on the 1st Saturday of the month
beginning October 2nd. Both women and men are encouraged to come to this
ride. Additionally, more experienced riders are welcome. However, please
keep in mind that it will be a relatively easy or lower endurance pace.
Ride start location: Sellwood Riverfront Park parking lot (next to Oak's
Park @ SE Spokane & Oaks Park Way).
Start Time: 9:30 AM
Ride Duration: 2 to 3 hours with possible bailout points for those
needing to get back sooner.
Focus: The focus for the October 2nd ride will be on building endurance
for next year's road season (or maintaining endurance for current cross
season).
Additional focus will be on paceline techniques.
Ride leader: Steve Long, Wenzel coach and North River Racing member.
We will focus on some of the techniques discussed in the following
article. We will incorporate some hills or rolling terrain to exhibit
proper pacing in these situations.
