Babysitting Sunday

Hannah Burke was at Alpenrose today with a tent and a helper, ready for kids.
She watched our two girls for about three hours. After my race I went to pick
them up and they didn't want to leave!

Thank you Hannah for your excellent babysitting skills and for being there. The
location was perfect and our kids were happy!

If you are thinking about signing up with Hannah and her helper, I can gladly
vouch for her.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Babysitting Sunday

Racing parents:

I got a number of responses to my email regarding childcare at cross races, so
here's the followup. Hannah Burke will be at Alpenrose all day Sunday, and I've
arranged with Brad to have a tent set up on the grassy fenced area just across
the entrance road from the parking lot. That should give the kids shelter if it
rains, but a little room to run within reason. There will be a
sign-in/sign-out form and to avoid any confusion at least until Hannah gets to
know people, please have ID for dropoff/pickup. We don't want anyone just
walking up and taking a kid, you know.

For simplicity, how about $10 for one kid, $15 for two, no time limit (too hard
to track). Drop off a kid and cash, then go have fun racing.

Obviously Hannah will work out the kinks as the season progresses. I expect a
fair amount of interest on Sunday, but it would be best to limit it to a
watchable number of kids. If there's enough interest we'll get another sitter.

Let me know if you plan to drop a kid off. See you Sunday.
