We have so many good venues used by promoters. Sure more would be better. But....
The venue over at David Douglas Park in Vancouver used by Half Fast Velo Saturday Oct. 2 was very sweet. It was very fast as it was mostly dry, but would be very tough if wet. The run-up was epic. The toughest I have done yet in my years of racing Cyclocross (I think the only harder run-up I have experienced was the one those guys put into the Falls City XC race about 4 years ago...which was retarded. No it is why I am retarded now!). The few technical areas were the only salvation I had to give me any advantage over the really strong riders. STRONG RIDERS would just be able to kill this course. You could smash the open areas and be able to ride your smart race in the technical sections and overall put in very fast laps. IF THEY PUT ON ANOTHER CROSS RACE there I urge you to not just support it, but go, race hard and have fun. Two days of racing in a row are good for you. Race and fuel smart!
