Hi everybody,

Be Advised:

Numbers must be placed on the correct side for the race direction, and be readable to the judges for any points to be awarded.

Number not readable?   No points, end of discussion, no whining.

Proper Number placement is crucial to correctly judging results, especially in flat bunch sprints as are prevalent at PIR.

Numbers are most readable when placed on the side panel of the jersey and fully streched. The cameras are very sensitive to folds, ripples, lighting and angle.

The judges are just human, despite some opinions to the contrary. Help them score your race in a reasonable and timely manner. The officiating crew left PIR Tuesday 7/23 after the sound and sun were gone because of scoring issues. There is no reason for the officials to do the riders work.

Chief Referee
