Wanted to give mega props to Damien for putting it all out there at Alpenrose and laying down one incredible ride. We all love Shep and Caveman and Co.but to see Damien come up from the the pasture hill, just dropping the hammer, was just too much. For me it was like being there to see Cassius Clay take on and drop Sonny Liston. Then, to stay out there for 50 minutes? Are you kidding me??!! look, I realize that I am never going to ride up in front in the main race, ever, never...but for those 9 laps last Sunday, I did.

Give the guy a pat on the back and a cold beer next time you see him. Half rack is on me and will be iced at Rainier. Truly an epic ride and now part of the greatest of Cross Crusade lore.

Cheers to Damien, a seat amongst the gilded grail warriors now awaits you.
