tony kic
top notch work last week, everybody. quality racing in every field, stellar performance from the officials, rad vendors, and a great turnout. i can't think of a competitive scene more positive than CX. high fives all around!
a few things for this week:
*dairy officials have just informed us that there will be a memorial service taking place in the opera house area of the facility. we'll be sharing parking and thoroughfares with attendees of the memorial, so please, PLEASE, be sensitive to the situation. alpenrose is willing to host both events and they are confident that we are capable of sharing the venue without any trouble, so lets make good.
*be ready for some course changes... nothing too drastic but it's best to get a lap either on the course or around the parimeter before your race- especially for the nighttime fields. i'm headed out to buy yet more lights and cords today, somehow no matter how many i pick up there are never enough.
*online preregistration closes at 3pm today, and pre-reg at 21st ave bicycles closes at 4pm today.
*if you are planning on registering tomorrow at the dairy, please print and fill out the form located here: http://www.crossseries.com/pdfs/registration_2010.pdf and have cash or a check made out to fieldkic llc.
*leaders jerseys (!!!!!) will be available at registration, as will the payout for last weeks elite racers (top 3 men and women a's). we'll have checks ready this week as soon as the results are in, sorry for the delay.
oh, and whoever left a pair of black "joe boxer" boxer shorts in the parking lot last week is welcome to retrieve them from the passenger floorboard of my van- it's the one that looks like cross between a farm impliment/soccer mom shuttle/military vehicle. no, i did not launder them.
thanks! tony and joe.
