I want to put a shout out to all the support riders and spectators give to racers on the course as well as before and after races. Today was "the usual" in that I was passing and being passed by riders in the combined cats in which I race. It was all positive. Not one person was negative. The people yelling support to us all around the course was so uplifting. I don't need to tell anyone who raced how much any positive comment given was to racers out there today. It was the first course this year that BEAT me. Yes I finished and did not fall over or puke, but the course was brutal. The people around me gave me strength. There are a good number of us out there who are slow and could be viewed as "in the way" if one just views slower riders as " a hindrance to his/her goal", but by far most riders in my race understand this whole thing is not just about HIM. We seem to treat each other with respect. I thank all of you for that. When we give it our best, but show understanding and tolerance for others doing their best.... the world of OBRA is a better place. And yes.... Thanks Crusade for a great race and OBRA for giving us all a chance to race.
