Joseph A. Field
Weather: With the forecast for comfortable temperatures and clear skies,
it looks like we're in for another magical evening of bike racing at the
Dairy. With the recent rains, the course should be soft, without dust or
mud.
Pre-registration: To alleviate registration lines, OBRA has kindly
extended online registration until noon tomorrow. PLEASE register
online. It's cheaper for you, it saves time for everyone, and, most
important, it makes Candi's life simpler. To pre-register, go to:
http://www.crossseries.com/schedule.html
Race Numbers: If you already have a Blind Date race number and you have
pre-registered for Blind Date 3 (10/13/10) or the entire series, you
don't need to come to registration.
If you pre-registered and need to pick up your race number we will have
an express line for you to pick up your number at registration.
If you want a new race number for any reason (you are switching
categories, you lost your old number, etc.), you will need to fill out a
registration form for us and go through the regular registration process
again. You can fill out the registration form online and print it and
bring it with you. http://www.crossseries.com/pdfs/flyer_2010.pdf
Hole Shot Primes: We'll be rewarding racers who lead at our designated
hot spot on the first lap with holeshot primes courtesy of Stumptown
Coffee.
Call ups: We'll calling up the series leaders from each field- depth
based on field size.
Leaders Jerseys: We'll award leader's jerseys to the top ranked racer at
the starting line (based on Blind Date series standing) in each field
except the beginners' fields, which are intended to be for fun and
practice.
Photo Contest: Please post your best Blind Date Pictures and videos on
our Facebook page. Shane Young is our winning photographer for week 2.
Who will be the first to post a Blind Date nighttime race video ?
