Hello!

One of my team mates said someone posted on the list looking for me for some reason. Not sure what they needed but wanted to pass on my contact info and web site and opportunity to explain a little what Velo Gioielli is about. I'm very sensitive about spamming this list, so I hope this makes sense why I send this post at this time.

First, I wanted to shout out a big thanks to everyone that's stopped by my booth at cross. I've been given lots of love from the cycling community and that was a nail bitter for me worrying about it, so again thanks. I love the sport and it's important to me that I support it.

Short story about Velo Gioielli. I was canned from my 4+ year job one day about a year ago. I was already making spoke bracelets for my club and my mother is a jewelry designer. I asked her if she wanted to make some stuff for Bike Craft, and that's how it all started. I am not shy in saying we have made some of the nicest upscale jewelry from bikes parts I've ever seen and this is echoed on a regular basis from customers. Check it for yourself here. We have been at Portland Saturday Market since March of this year. I also have products at the new Bikeasurus gift shop on MLK, Pedal Tours new shop across from Kells on 2nd and Lakeside Bikes in Lake Oswego.

For cross I had the idea to create a gift shop of sorts. I've brought several of my Saturday Market colleagues work. All handmade products such as soap, art, clothing and jewelry. Best of all my friend Julian's recycled bike tire belts, something you must see to appreciate! If you get a chance look for my Bike Bling flag and stop by to say hello. I will be looking for future ways VG can give back into the cycling community so it's a great way to throw ideas around and it's fun to meet new people.

Please feel free to contact me about creating something special for Christmas and I am always looking for used campy bike chain and cogs.... so if you got some a trade might be in order!

Ciao,
