Ok, no luck with the team so on to OBRA-land. If no luck here then it’s off
to craigslist

I have a “problem” you can most likely help me with. I have both a road and
a mountain bike that need to “get gone.”

Road bike is an early-nineties Schwinn 354 (designed by Paramount); 61cm
seat tube, 56cm top tube and quite the assortment of parts. Downtube
shifters, new(er) wheels—Vuelta X Starlites and a mix match of Shimano
600/Exage parts. Also, comes with wired Planet Bike Protégé 9.0 computer
(hey, it even still has batteries!). This would make a great commuter or
even a decent rain bike. Has all the normal scratches from being almost as
old as me but still works just fine.

Mountain bike is a Trek 4500 from 2004 (?). I rode this on a 9-day cross
country-ish trip when I was 14 and it’s seen some use since then but overall
it’s in pretty good shape. This has been a loaner bike for some Boy Scouts
for the past few years so it’s been maintained and is in decent shape. May
be a good bike for a son (or daughter for that matter) looking for a decent
mountain bike. I can’t really say it’s a race-quality bike but it’s
something. 19” frame.

So here’s the deal, I’m a college kid. I’m not trying to “make bank” on
these and that’s why I’m offering them to OBRA: I WANT THEM TO GET USED.
Make me an offer, ANYTHING, it doesn’t even have to be reasonable, just help
me find a good home for these bikes.
