Sorry everyone rarely do I respond but...... I will make it short. Let me give you the true finacials of a race organizer. We had no major financial sponsors for the State Championships this year and the club only had a small amount of money from sponsorship/membership so Shane and Julie Wilson and myself have had to pay a portion of it (especially the prize purse) out of our own pockets. After hours of work they, nor I, nor anyone else will make a dime off of this race. Any money left over will go into putting on one heck of a cyclo-cross race this fall in Hood River and another RR next year. I just don't want anyone thinking that promotion is a very profitable business, its not. Candi look what you started! Actually we should all be grateful for what she and Mike have started.
