Do not discount the importance of 150th place! The judges do not know if a
racer is 150th place until they do the scoring. Once a racer commented to me
that they didn't care where they were placed. Not caring doesn't do anything
to diminish the amount of work required to produce the results. Perhaps it
would help the judges and scorers if racers who don't care just don't cross
the finish line.
Certainly appreciate the thought of creating your own arm number. I can
imagine what it would have looked like at the end of the race!

Subject: Re: [OBRA Chat] Numbers at CCX??
It's pretty easy to scan the Cross Crusdae number and print out small
4" wide versions of the scan on an inkjet printer. I was going to run
shoulder numbers at PIR but it seemed like I was trying too hard
(especially given my absolute lock on 150th place in every Masters C
field)

With proper placement, it seems a helmet number could easily provide a nice
way to confirm numbers for either poor placement on the body and/or muddy
conditions like Wash County yesterday. Thoughts?
