I've been running a set of the all-white ones for two seasons on a set of
Ksyrium SL wheels, with no strips. They fit so well I can mount them and
pump them with a floor pump, without even putting any sealant in. (Of
course, I did put sealant in, but the point is they're extremely easy to set
up.) They're not super stiff and hard to mount, either; no tire lever
necessary on these wheels. I've never experienced any sealant coming through
the sidewalls.
I can run 30 psi on most courses with no problems. I ran about 40 yesterday
at Barton, still lower than you could ever run on that course with tubes. I
have burped a couple times but it was user error, from going too low on
pressure (like 25 psi on a hardpack course with bumps and potholes).
If you used strips, I'm pretty sure you could even run lower pressures, I
just like the ease of not using any strips. These are my favorite mud tires
too, by the way.
