SATURDAY - OBRA CROSS CHAMPS
Jeff and Crew will give us a super course at West Salem High on Saturday for the OBRA Champs. It is not only going to be fun, but another chance for us "bike racers" to show venue managers (like High School administrators) that we can come in, have a first rate Cross race, respect the school rules in the process and it ends in a WIN-WIN for all involved. That is how we get to continue racing in these places. Thanks Jeff and all for working with WSHS to give us the chance to race.

SUNDAY - KRUGER'S CROSSING CYCLOCROSS
Kris and his race machine will again be giving us the lovely Kruger's Farm for a whole day. This race is wonderful for family, doggie cross (check the flyer) and NW Cross enthusiasts who love a challenging course. This is one of my favorite courses because I know when I finish I have earned my recovery drink of choice. We usually get to have great mud, bonfire, tough mud, sometimes corn maze, pumpkins and some really slippery mud. The Farm Store and staff are very supportive of our activity and cycling in general. This is really a down home Cross race that is very unique to the Metro Area. It is usually beautiful out there and easy to just enjoy racers, families and the farm. Thanks Kris for working with Don Kruger to keep this annual gathering alive.

I hope both races are well attended because both Jeff and Kris have worked hard to give us great races. There are not tire width or handlebar restrictions at either race. Whiners are welcome.... there is always something to whine about! Come on out and discover. On the other hand...People who's cup is half-full (it can be Beer at Kruger's) needed to keep us on track. Smack Talk is OK as well. I hope to see many familiar smiling and muddy faces this weekend as well as some muddy wagging tails.
